COVID-19 Protocols

In the light of newest Covid-19 health and safety guidelines provided by the Ontario Health Authority, we are modifying our Fall Programming as follows:

  • Limit class size to 9 children.

  • Limit class length to 30 minutes.

  • Faculty, staff, parents, guardians, and children will be asked not to attend if they are sick or display any of the following symptoms:

    • Fever;

    • Cough;

    • Shortness of breath;

    • Sore throat;

    • Runny nose;

    • Nasal congestion;

    • Headache; or 

    • General feeling of being unwell.

  • Staff will conduct active symptom screening of each child every day with parent or guardian online or as they drop off their children.

  • If a child develops symptoms while at the program, the child will be isolated away from other children and the parent or guardian will be notified to come pick them up immediately.

  • Staff will be on hand at drop-off and pickup times to support physical distancing.

  • Students are to bring a labelled backpack to place their outdoor shoes and outdoor clothing in while on the premises.

  • Parents will not be permitted into the building except in case of emergency.

  • Visitors will not be permitted in the building.

  • Hand sanitizer will be available at building entrance, exit and at each classroom for use by faculty and staff.

  • Where possible, physical distancing practice will occur; Wearing of masks will be mandated.

  • Signage will be posted to encourage hand washing.

  • Only two persons allowed in the washrooms at any time. Mask must be worn.

  • Classroom floors will be marked to show personal space.

  • Activities will be structured to maintain physical distancing.

  • Students will bring their own snacks and water and there will be no sharing allowed.

  • Frequent, thorough cleaning and electrostatic disinfecting of high-touch or common areas will be done.
